New students – assistance
New students are expected to arrange many things for their study & life in Prague.
Here is an assistance to help in orientation in the beginning:
- Find the username and password after enrolment in the study (based on the electronic confirmation) in your electronic application for the study.
- Enter the username (application number) and password for applications.
- At the top of the page, you will see the newly assigned username and password to InSIS.
- You can log in for the first time with the password on the page https://insis.vse.cz/auth/?lang=en in the section Personal administration, select the link Log in to Personal administration of InSIS
- Change the password to the one you really want to use permanently two nights after the electronic registration, so that the password change can also be done in Office 365, in InSIS, in the Information system settings section, select the Change password link
- Never share your password with anyone !!Note: If you forgot the password to enter the application, you can regenerate it based on your birth number and e-mail by clicking on the link to generate a new password.

The school email is the only channel the teachers and administration use for communication.
It is important to use & check it on daily base.
You, as the VSE student, can use and install the Microsoft Office tools to your device (up to five devices) with using of your university access.

Wi-Fi network Eduroam is offered in the campus and dormitory
Find the information how to instal Eduroam to your divices.
You can use the cabel connection to internet at the dormitory as well
Students can order identification card in two versions – ISIC (ID with ISIC licence) or simple ID card.
Both cards fulfill the service within the university and dormitory, ISIC offers benefits to students (main is the discount to the public transport to students under 26 years old).

Dormitory is located at Jarov, about 15 min ride by direct tram.
Information for students are provided via ISKAM, dormitory web.
Read instruction emails carefully, inform a dormitory manager of the dorm you were allocated in about your arrival, especially late arrival.
Students EU nationalities are requested to report a presence at the Foreign Police within 30 days after the arrival.
Official accommodater (i.e. dormitory) fulfills this obligation and register you!
Students non-EU nationalities must fulfill the registration according to the type of approvel legal stay:
-> Long-term visa (365 days) are requested to report a presence at the Foreign Police within 3 working days after arrival
-> Long-term residence permit (1 enter visa) have to visit the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of Interior for the registration and fulfill the duties related to the biometric data. See your duties after arrival to the Czech Republic here.
