Teaching regime in the summer semester of the academic year 2020/21 – updated

Based on the current epidemiological situation, the Rector of VŠE decided in agreement with the Deans of faculties that teaching in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes will take place online until the end of the semester. The examination period will run according to the restrictions in force in mid-May 2021.

Teaching of physical education courses will also take place in a distance form.

On April 1, 2021, in accordance with the announced academic schedule, there will be a Dean’s Day at all faculties. The Rector’s Sports Day, announced on April 28, 2021, is cancelled and regular classes will take place.

Obligation to wear a respirator (updated on February 23, 2021)

With effect from February 25, 2021 until further notice, in the internal public areas of the school, all persons are obliged to wear a respirator or similar protective respiratory equipment complying with the relevant standards.

Graduation ceremonies

Due to the development of the epidemiological situation and with regard to the limitation of the possibility of holding mass events, the ceremonial graduation of bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates planned for February and March 2021 is cancelled. More detailed information on the method of awarding diplomas to graduates will be provided by individual faculties.

Obligation of employees and students to submit a negative result of the RT-PCR test

Employees and students who entered the Czech Republic from high-risk countries (see the list of the Ministry of Health), where they stayed for more than 12 hours in the last 14 days or are nationals of these high-risk countries, must undergo an RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS CoV-2 and are subject to restrictions on free movement in the Czech Republic.
VŠE employees (including visiting professors) are obliged to submit the test result to their superior, students will send a scanned document to their study assistant (coordinator of the foreign language study programme) by e-mail. Until a negative test result is submitted, such an employee or student may not enter the University premises. It is necessary to follow the valid measures HERE.
