Winning photographs according to the expert jury and special prizes:

  • 1st place:  Michaela Svatošová (FFA) – „Being in a Couple“ (France, Neoma Business School, FS 2022)

Author’s comment: My first alone trip to Madrid, Spain was magical. I felt strong as I did it all by myself but at the end you miss somebody to share with. Somebody who is your couple.

  • 2nd place:  Kateřina Hrušková (FBA) – „Sunrise in OZ“ (New Zealand, University of Otago, SS 2023)

Author’s comment: This photo was taken during my trip to Australia. Chilling with kangaroos while enjoying sunrise on the beach is one of my favourite memories.

  • 3rd place:  Tereza Klimentová (FIS) –  „The city of contrasts and casinos“ (Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, SS 2023)

Author’s comment: Macau is a city where you can find the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Venice, a huge number of casinos and luxury hotels, Portuguese architecture, but also a lot of poor and ruined houses, all in a few square kilometers. To capture this picture I decided to come back to Macau for the second time, because in my opinion it perfectly symbolizes the city.

  • Honorable mention:  Marie Zákostelecká (FBA) – „Contemporary art“ (Germany, internship in Galleri Heike Arndt DK – Berlin, SS 2023)

Author’s comment: Nasan Tur explores the political and social conditions that define our times. His works are experimental arrangements that draw attention to ideologies, social norms and behavioural codes and expand our options for individual action.

International Office voted for:

  • Int. Office Prize:  Egor Nefedov (FBA) – „Concrete Canopy“ (Peru, Universidad del Pacífico, SS 2023)

Author’s comment: As the bustling city stretches its architectural arms skyward, a unique vantage captures the confluence of urban life and nature’s vast expanse. From below, the towering buildings frame the heavens in a perfect circle, creating a dramatic portal to the azure above. Poised at the center, alone airplane gracefully cuts across this window, embodying mankind’s ceaseless ambition and our yearning to touch the skies. The juxtaposition of solid concrete and ethereal space makes a profound statement: while we might build barriers around us, the universe’s infinity is always within reach.

Marketing and PR Department voted for:

  • Marketing and PR Prize:  Gabriela Brachtlová (FFA) – „Mysterious Man“ (South Korea, Konkuk University, SS 2023)

Author’s comment: Photo was taken in Macau during a rainy day as I was visiting old mandarin’s house.
